- 2009 Bowie Wrestlers
Join the team today! Wrestling is one of
the oldest sports known to mankind. It is about conditioning, technique,
discipline, and heart. Wrestling is a team and individual sport for boys and
girls of all sizes and skill levels. Bowie Wrestling Teams have a winning
tradition with 11 District Championships, 3 Regional Championships, a 7th,
5th, 2nd, and 12th place Team State finishes in the last four years;
numerous tournament titles; numerous individual tournament, District, and
Regional Champions; two State Champions; and several State Placers.
The season begins in mid-November
and wraps up in late February with the State Championships held here in Austin. Bowie wrestlers compete in District meets at area high
schools and travel to Varsity and JV Tournaments held in Austin,
San Antonio, Houston,
La Joya, Corpus Christi, and Dallas. Wrestling can
be a year-round personal sport with world class summer camps, (including
the Bowie Camp and an out-of-state team camp), along with Greco and
Freestyle competitions.

Booster Club meetings are the
