Lone Star Duals at South Grand Prairie (1/4/08 & 1/5/08)
The Bowie High School Wrestling Team placed 7th in the prestigious Lone Star Duals, which featured top teams from Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, and Louisiana. Bowie had nine duals and won six of them. Bowie had wins over:

Archbishop Rummel-La (57-26)

Congratulations to the Bowie Wrestling Team on winning a consecutive 6th straight District Title. Our wrestlers ran away with the title with 287 points. Travis H.S. took a distant second. Bowie had 13 District Champions and one third place winner (who actually was a true second winning his challenge match to advance to regionals as well.)

Congratulations to the Bowie Wrestlers on an outstanding performance at the Regional tournament in San Antonio! It was truly a team effort. Everyone wrestled well and gave it their all. Consequently, Bowie became the Team Regional Champions for the 3rd time. (No other team has won the Region 4 tournament three times.) In addition, Bowie qualified a record 9 wrestlers to the STATE MEET, which will be held at the Delco Center on Feb. 22nd and 23rd. (Top 4 from regionals qualify for state.)
